My dog licks like he has peanut butter stuck to his tongue all of the time.  I'm not sure if this is a sign of something, if he has fur or dust in his throat, or if it's just a habit.  Either way, he looks uncomfortable when doing it and he does it CONSTANTLY.  Don't know what to think and I have no money to spend on a vet right now.

cank is a bull mastiff x boxer and almost a year old we moved 8 months ago since the move he constantly digs holes he rarely digs big holes just lots of little ones just big enough to fit your foot in.... and at about 11pm he starts to bark we have tried all but a shock collar he is driving us and the neighbors crazy i don't really want to resort to that but im out of options...oh and he chews everything we haven't been able to use the clothes line in 6 months and has chewed through 3 hoses and several power tools basically anything he can mouth around...... i have tried everything  i can think of he just refuses to learn please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a 2 year old akita who i adore very much i am unable to take her out with me as she pulls me and she is a big dog i hve been looking to see if anyone has any advice for me what i can do to make it eaiser for me to take her out i have not done full training on her yet i would like to be able to go out with her and not wory she is going to pull me over

In August Kiki a poddle/ cocker spanial 13 lbs who (2 years old December) suddenly she lost 5 lbs, her eyes started watering a few days later she had scrapped the hair and skin off her face to the point where it was raw. The vet had no idea what was wrong and was no help with her loosing so much weight. The vet offered spray to stop the itching (if that what it was) but he did not know. The spray did not help nothing help other then (maybe) I started applying antibiotic cream and it help but it took a long time. Guess what it is back though she is not loosing weight. I have also the father and two brothers none of those dogs developed this problem, nor does the other breed dog that I have or the mother. There are 6 in total. What the heck is wrong with her face. Not only that now she will not allow me to put my face near her back as if she is scared and pushes me away this has only happened in the past few weeks. Years ago Jake the father had something similar but different on his hip and he also has this problem of not allowing to get close to his back. What the heck is going on? I do think that they want to keep the distance from them because they have developed a fear that you may hurt them more because of this break out. The break out finally goes away but the fear of being touched does not.

What could this raw hairless spots be?

how do dogs act after the vac does it make them feel or act sick?

So I rescued a 9 month old white german shep. We are seeing a private trainer to deal with her major self esteem issues and attachment issues. However, she is scared to try the doggy door ive tried everything, i got her to take treats off the ledge of the door but thats it. She'd rather stay outside alone then attempt to come in when I am sitting right there. (which for her is HUGE) any advice?

We have a chi that we adopted. He is about 8+ years old and weighs about 5 pounds now.  We would not take anyting for him, so we don't want him in pain or having a problem. I hope someone can tell me something.

I notice it at night more than in the daytime. He sleeps with u and he will lick the sheets until they are wet. I don't know why, but I think it has something to do with swalowing.  He constantly working his mouth as though he is trying to get something up.  Sometimes he will get gaged and cough as though there is something he is trying to get up.  I don't like to see him hurt, because I think he has had that in the past. I want him to be happy and enjoy life.  Please, if you have an answer, please let me hear from you.  Mary

I just bought this new hair grooming thing called the furminator.  I would never have bought it, but the people at the vet's office showed me how well it worked.  I would never of bought it unless I saw how much hair it removed.

I did some research, and apparently its just a tool used to strip the dog's under coat.  Anyway, my question is if stripping your dogs undercoat is a bad thing?
